Bug’s Bunny

My granddaughter is loving sewing!  She made a gift for her baby brother today.  I am so proud of her.  She made it all herself.  I only talked her through the process.  She even hand stitched the eyes, nose and whiskers!  Didn’t she do a fantastic job!!  Way to go Bug!

For this project she decided on a tie-dyed fabric because it was colorful and bright.  She says the little guy likes bright colors.  She had to decide which way to place her pattern on the fabric, where she wanted each color and the direction of the colors.  I think she has a good eye for this.

She also learned how to sew around curves.  It took her a long time to do, as she took her time and did a great job.  Turning her bunny inside out was the next step and then stuffing and hand stitching him up.  Each process was done with care.  I was so proud of  her determination to do a perfect job, especially on his eyes, nose and whiskers.
