Bake Sale Murder

Yesterday I read one of Leslie Meier’s Lucy Stone Mysteries, Bake Sale Murder.  It is way down the list, but it was the only one our library had on hand.  I’ve got her other books on order.  The series is set in a small town in Maine.  Her characters are so real and easy to identify with.

As you might have guessed, a group of women decided to hold a bake sale in order to raise funds for an off shoot of their hat and mitten fund.  One of the women, who has a reputation for causing trouble, ends up murdered.  The main character is Lucy who is a reporter for the local weekly small town newspaper.  She finds the murdered woman, who is also a neighbor, and of course, one thing leads to another.  It was another fun, quick read.

I’ve enjoyed a couple of cozy mysteries this summer. This sounds like another to add to the list. I wish I read more, but I just can’t seem to put the needles down.
