Pretty Primulas

I completed my first cross stitch of 2011.  I love these pretty purple flowers and the cute little bumble bee.  It was worked on 28ct. evenweave by M.C.G. Textiles, a 100% cotton fabric that is made in the USA.  I love working on this fabric.  It holds it shape, is soft and the projects turn out lovely.  I’ve used it before and talked about it then.  I thought is was worth another mention.   The finished size is 4 1/2″w x 3 1/2″h.  The pattern called Pretty Primulas by Lucy Heaton is available as a free download on cyberstitchers. com.  Cyberstitchers is a great site with many free patterns and helpful tips.

I’m thinking this would make a nice needle holder.  I haven’t decided yet what I want to do with it.  The bee would make a cute scissor fob.  That is if it’s not too big.   A nice set don’t you think.

Nice work! The bee is very cute and would make a nice fob — maybe strung with a few beads in colors from the flowers or the border.
